Arrival in Guatemala

Hey everyone I have arrived safe in Guatemala and life is going well. My first week has been incredible! there are 16 other interns that are enrolled in the program. None of which I had ever met before moving in with all of them. So getting to know 15 other strangers has been awesome especially because we are all unite in Christ and share a passion for foreign missions. We had two kids days this past week. Nearly 200 elementary age kids were served lunch and were ministered to. God is so good.

This was the view from the mountain I hiked up. Its only ten minutes from the center the 16 interns are staying at.
I am having a technology fast for the first two weeks week so hope to post some time next week.
thanks:)

The Journey ahead.

This coming year I have a very exciting opurtunity to pursue God in a way I never have before. Through  Long term missions!

I am humbled and honored to share with you what the Lord is doing in my life and I pray you would be encouraged by it.  Over the past several years I have had the privilege of participating in several short term mission trips. Through those trips the Lord has burdened my heart for the foreign mission field. As I have searched for opportunities to serve I encountered a ministry with a yearlong program through Potter’s Field Ministries (PFM). Intrigued by the strategy Potter’s Field uses, I applied to the program and was granted acceptance.
My plan is to attend the course that begins on July 13, 2013. I will live on their campus in Antigua, Guatemala for three months of training before being sent to one of the PFM’s additional international locations to serve in the PFM Kids programs. During the six months I am in the field, I will be under the supervision of local pastors with whom PFM co-labors in whichever location I am sent. PFM currently has locations in Costa Rica, Guatemala, Kenya, and Uganda. I will have the chance to minister to the kids and serve the local people who care for those little ones every day in one of the international sites.

There is plenty more info to come but this is just a general overview of what I will be doing over the coming months. Please keep me in your prayers!

In Christ,
